“Hello! Thank you for being here. The app I am testing today is for a car dashboard. It contains many common features in modern cars, such as Bluetooth compatibility and direct access to online maps. The difference between my app and others is that it comes with enhanced safety features that were designed with minorities in mind, particularly women, queer people, and people of color.
I want to be clear: you are not being tested. I am testing my app to make sure it works effectively and is intuitive. You may end this testing at any time for any reason without question.
I’ll give you three tasks to complete using the app. If possible and if you are comfortable doing so, I ask that you please speak out loud as you conduct the tasks so that I can follow along with your thought process to catch areas where my app may be confusing or ineffective. Once again, I am not testing you, I am testing my app.
